The house is in a small hamlet of around 20 houses.
There is one other english couple and one english holiday home.
The village is dominated by the magnificent 11th Century Abbey. Our house was the priests home from the 15th Century.
The cafe opposite owned by Rere and Nadine is not open except for the odd occasion such as the village Lotto (Bingo but not as we knew it! We won a live pheasant last year which we released into the wood!)
We are tucked beside the church in a secluded spot yet within the hamlet.
Visitors find us easily as we just tell them to drive onto the church parking then around to the left.
The church is used at Easter, Christmas and for weddings, funerals and baptisms. In the summer there are occasional Choral concerts which are very pleasant to listen to sitting in the garden with a glass of wine! The priest is a very pleasant man.
